The First International Workshop Initiatives for Teachers (I-WIT)

The Workshop Initiatives for Language Learning will hold its inaugural International Workshop Initiatives for Teachers (I-WIT) in Kaohsiung City (Taiwan), where participants from Japan and other countries will share experiences with university students from teacher-training programs in Taiwan and local high school teachers. Teachers from Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Korea, and other countries are warmly invited and encouraged to attend. The workshop will be conducted primarily in English, but support will be available in Japanese when necessary.

[Fee]
18,000 JPY for Presenters at the International Conference on the Smile Project and Intercultural Communication Education (SPICE2024)
20,000 JPY for all other participants
(fees include registration for SPICE2024)

National Kaohsiung National University Workshops
Small group discussions with students from the teacher-training program at National Kaohsiung Normal University, using Taiwanese English textbooks as reference. (Participants are also asked to bring their own textbooks).

Free day. Visiting scenic sights such as Xizihwan, Chengqing Lake, and the bustling night markets may provide you with source material for classes.

*Workshop contents are subject to change.
*The deadline for registration is February 10, 2024 (noon Japan time). 
*Fees are only for the workshop. Participants must make their own arrangements for transportation, lodging, meals, etc.
*The participation fee, once paid, will not be refunded except in the case of cancellation for lack of participation.
