Dialogbook

  2. Rubric evaluation table (work in progress, as of Dec. 2020)

In order to learn a foreign language, it is important to actually interact in that language. While the content of such interaction is also vital, developing student “awareness” through error correction and exposure to more appropriate ways of expression can be even more effective. For effective learning of a foreign language, it is necessary not only to record what content has been learned, but also to register such activities as planning for learning (warm-up step) and feedback on learning (wrap-up step) in a portfolio.

The e-portfolio system we offer, Dialogbook, is a simple and easy-to-use system for recording those activities. Currently, various schools may already be using a Learning Management System (LMS). However, this project is based on exchanges between two or more schools, even across countries. For this reason, we developed Dialogbook as an independent system separate from the existing LMS, with the expectation that it can be used by both schools simultaneously.
